The Gods walk among us. To them, our lives are playthings. Only one woman would dare to protect humanity from the wrath of such strange and powerful forces. But is she one of us – or one of them?
This? Works for me. Nothing about men, nothing about vengeance or the ultimate warrior. Reminds me more of the old Kevin Sorbo Hercules more than anything else. She’s protecting humanity. Hell, even the question at the end tacked on for the curious new readers is more a “But what is she?” than a question on her motives.
Between this and reading Dr. 13: Architecture and Mortality today, I feel pretty good about this book.
