This is the very first appearance of Katma Tui, from way back in the Silver Age Green Lantern #30. She was the very first female Green Lantern to appear. This was a good 14 issues after Carol Ferris (already established as a businesswoman who prioritized her career over her lovelife) had gained powers as Star Sapphire from the Zamaron Space-Amazons. Backside views of Green Lanterns were common even with an all-male team, but this opening page has the advantage of concealing Katma’s gender. It’s a bit of a surprise.
